Origins of Life by Professor Robert M. Hazen of George Mason University and Carnegie Institution of Washington from the Great Courses of The Teaching Company.

This is an audio lecture book.

So far, I have only had the opportunity to listen to part 1 of 2 of this excellent set of lectures on the question, how did life start on earth.

This is a fascinating account of the research into recreating the chemical processes that started life.

Organic molecules are everywhere in the universe. These molecules are the building blocks of life on earth. They occur through natural, non-life processes and are recreatable in the lab.

Life is everywhere on earth, where there is any water, even in rock miles beneath the service.

The question this book lets you follow is how did organic molecules get together to be living beings.
